Originally from Auburn Maine, I moved to Jefferson when I met my husband Gerry. We married in 2003 and have had many fur babies over the 20+ years together. Currently, is our 12lb rat terrier mix we rescued from the animal shelter five years ago.

From a young age, I always enjoyed sewing. My mother bought me my first sewing machine, from a yard sale in her neighborhood and surprised me for my twelfth birthday. I started out sewing doll clothes, then onto altering my clothes, and eventually into making quilts. I always enjoyed the art of creating something from a piece of cloth. It was only natural that I progressed to quilting in the early 2000s. I met my husband in 2001 and at the time his mother was opening a quilt shop. She needed help getting things going and naturally I was the perfect fit. I ended up working for her for almost twenty years. As a quilter, I have made well over 150 quilts from king to crib size, including hundreds of other items such as bags, table runners, placemats, potholders, Christmas tree skirts, and other hand-crafted creations. The process I fell in love with most was the finishing of the pieced tops or longarm quilting.

By 2020, I had worked my way up to managing the shop as well as being the resident longarm quilter. After careful thought and reevaluation of my future, I decided to start my own longarm business. I had always dreamt of being my own boss and having the freedom that comes with it. Unknowingly, it happened to be the perfect time to start my small business, with the current global pandemic (Covid-19). I’m able to work from home safely and continuously throughout this time of uncertainty.

207 Longarm Quilting has been established to provide you with quality machine quilting services and the completion of your family heirloom. I work with you to finish your quilt with the utmost care and quality, whether you'd like an edge-to-edge design or more detailed custom quilting. It’s amazing to see how the design and thread choice completely transforms a quilt top. You are only limited to your own imagination. It is very rewarding to share my creativity with my customers and help to spread the love of quilting around the world.
